Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your poster details: the flight, dates and airports, passenger names, the occasion and the sentence you choose.
- Contact details: your email address, and for printed posters your name and shipping address.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your payment and the amount, not your card number.
- How you use the site: steps you take in the poster builder (for example, that you made a proof or started checkout), and basic technical logs such as browser type. Your draft is also saved in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off.
How we use it
- To make your poster, take payment, print and ship it, and deliver your download.
- To email you about your order: your proof, confirmation, shipping and support replies.
- To send one reminder email if you made a poster and didn't finish. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the site working, and improve it.
Who we share it with
We use service providers who process data for us, only to run the service:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Our print and fulfilment partner (Gelato), who receives your poster file, name and shipping address so they can print and deliver your order.
- Our hosting and database providers, who store orders and posters.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- An AI image service, which may receive the map portion of your poster to add texture. It does not receive your name or email.
- Google Analytics, which measures visits, poster-building steps, preset occasion choices, product views, checkout starts, and completed purchases. This helps us understand which occasions and products people prefer. We send it page addresses without order links or email addresses, and we've turned off Google's advertising features for it.
- TikTok, through its advertising pixel and Events API, to measure preset occasion choices, product views, checkout starts and completed purchases and improve our ads. We share the product, price, currency, ad click or browser identifiers, IP address and browser information. We do not send passenger names, flight details, poster text, email addresses or private order links. The pixel is not loaded on pages with private order links or email addresses in the address.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through its advertising pixel and Conversions API, to measure page visits, preset occasion choices, product views, checkout starts and confirmed purchases. It receives product data, preset occasion IDs, browser identifiers, IP address and browser information. We do not send passenger names, flight details, custom poster text, email addresses or private order links. Automatic form matching and automatic event collection are disabled in our integration.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Advertising pixels from TikTok and Meta may count as "sharing" for advertising under some state laws, and you can opt out (see below). We may also disclose information if the law requires.
Cookies and similar storage
We use your browser's storage to save your poster draft and keep the site working. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart, and the TikTok and Meta pixels set advertising cookies. These optional measurement tools load only after you choose to allow analytics. You can decline or change your choice through Privacy settings on the site. Global Privacy Control overrides an allowance. The choice recorded when you start checkout also controls server-side purchase reporting. Declining does not stop you creating or buying a poster.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to run the service, handle refunds and support, and meet tax and legal duties. Drafts that are never ordered are kept for a limited time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from reminders with the link in any reminder email.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information by writing to hello.myflightposter@gmail.com. We may need to keep some order records the law requires.
- California residents can ask what we hold about them and ask us to delete it. To opt out of advertising pixels, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and we'll honour it. For any other privacy request, write to us.
Children
The site is for adults. Posters may be made about a child, but we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
